pair.trading is owned by a private individual: Ivan Lvov. You can reach him through the suggestions form — it goes to the owner directly.

This page describes only what the service actually does. If you find a gap between this text and the site's behaviour, write in: that is a bug and it will be fixed.

Collected without an account

Server logs. Page address, time, IP address, browser. They are needed to find errors and to tell people from robots. Logs are kept for about two weeks and then overwritten.

Google Analytics — only after you agree. On your first visit the site asks whether analytics may be enabled. Before you answer, and if you decline, nothing is sent to Google and no analytics cookies are set. If you agree, Google receives anonymous visit data: pages, language, device, approximate region. Declining changes nothing about how the site works.

Added when you register

• name and email address — so that you can sign in;
• password — stored as an irreversible hash; nobody holds the original;
• what you create: alerts, paper trade records, marked coins, chart drawings, favourite pairs.

Added only if you choose to

Telegram. If you connect notifications, the chat id and your handle (if you have one) are stored. They are used only to deliver messages. You can disconnect in settings or with /stop in the bot itself — the link is erased.

Reply address in the suggestions form. The field is optional: without it the suggestion stays anonymous.

Webhook. If you set an address for notifications, it is stored and used only to send your own alerts.

Cookies

• functional: session, form forgery protection, "remember me". Sign-in does not work without them;
• analytics choice: where your answer about Google Analytics is recorded;
• Google analytics cookies — only if you agreed.

Who the data is shared with

• Google — anonymous visit statistics, only after consent;
• Telegram — the notification text and the chat id, only if you connected the bot;
• FastVPS hosting — the site and the database physically live on its servers;
• exchanges — the service fetches quotes itself; your data is never sent to them.

Data is not sold and is not shared for advertising.

Backups

The database is copied daily and the copies are kept on the server: this protects against an erroneous change or accidental data loss. The last fourteen copies are kept, older ones are deleted automatically.

How long it is kept

Account data — for as long as the account exists. After deletion it disappears from the database at once, and from backups within two weeks, when the copies holding it are overwritten.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete anything stored about you, including the whole account. Write through the suggestions form, mentioning the address you registered with. Deletion cannot be undone.

Children

The service is not intended for people under 16 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Not investment advice

The site shows calculations over public exchange data. It is not a recommendation to buy or sell: the decisions are yours and so is the responsibility for them.

Changes

If the policy changes, the date here is updated. Material changes will be described on this page rather than quietly rewritten.
